A man was trapped on Friday night when a car and an HGV collided on a road at Tresillian near Truro.
Two fire engines from Truro and the rescue tender from Camborne, as well as police and ambulance, were called to the collision at just after 11pm.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Crews used crash rescue equipment to release the casualty from his vehicle and he was given into the care of West Country Ambulance. Crews then assisted in making the vehicles safe."
