More homes and buildings will be sacrificed to the sea in Cornwall over the next 50 years than in any other part of England and Wales.
That is the message in an unpublished Environment Agency (EA) analysis according to the Guardian newspaper.
Nationally over 800 properties will be lost to coastal erosion within the next 20 years, with 76 of these in Cornwall alone.
Over the next 50 years 132 homes in Cornwall are expected to be lost, more than any other area.
