Firefighters were called to Victoria road, St Ives, this morning after a report of a room full of smoke.
Twelve firefighters on three appliances from St Ives attended the call to the first floor room this morning and used used two breathing apparatus with a thermal imaging camera, one hose reel with a covering jet and safety jet and a dry powder extinguisher.
A fire and rescue service spokesman said: "Once the room had been investigated there was no obvious sign of fire, crews monitored hot spots in the premise.
"Using small tools crews cut away and established the cause of the fire was most likely to have involved the ceiling light of the room below."
