The January meeting was a talk on the Mullion Gull book, a definitive history of the village written by the local vicar Rev Harvey in the nineteenth century.
Unfortunately the speaker was unable to attend so members discussed the book, read several passages, and related some family reminiscences.
As many members of the society are new to the village, the evening was pronounced both informative and enjoyable. Tea was served and the raffle drawn.
The next meeting takes place on Monday, February 9 and will be a talk on the Packet Ships.
The March meeting is the annual dinner and can be booked through Mrs Mary Gilbert 01326 240203.
