Morning Prayer at St Mawgan in Meneage Parish Church on Sunday was taken by the Rector, the Rev Lesley Walker.
She likened the stories in the Bible to detective stories and how many people do not see beyond just the story. It takes time, patience and an eye for detail to see and understand the full meaning, but God is with us, knowing us before we know him. He doesn't give up.
The lessons were read by Pauline Arnold and the Rector and the organ was played by Andrew Woods.
The service next Sunday will be a Eucharist at 9.30am celebrated by the Revd Heather Aston with the Rev Lesley Walker preaching.
COFFEE MORNING There will be a coffee morning and New Year sale in the Vyvyan Coach House (next to the church) on Saturday, January 24 from 10.30am. There will be many household items for sale as well as homemade cakes. Come and browse and enjoy a coffee and chat and pick up a bargain.
