Breaney Methodist Chapel, Sunday morning the Annual United Covenant Service with Godolphin was held.
The Rev Beverly Turner the Porthleven Section Minister led the service. Paul Jenkin was organist and Mary Louise flautist. Stephenie was the vestry steward.
'Hymns and Psalms' were used throughout. The Order of Service was according to the Methodist tradition with appropriate responses. Bible readings were by Peter Gordon and Edward Hengist.
Some people in January try to keep New Year resolutions often give up within weeks, whereas God will assist those who want to keep a Covenant, made with God. If we slip God will lift us up to start again!
The Sacrament of the Last Supper; was included in the Covenant Renewal.
This was followed by the majority 'upstairs' going 'downstairs' to partake coffee, tea or hot chocolate. The young people had been down during the service with teachers, helpers and Julie Swann, children and families worker.
Next Sunday morning's preacher at 10.30am is Andrew Besley.
