The Hayle Community Day Centre was given a revamp at the weekend after employees from two supermarket branches volunteered to get the work done.
On Saturday 7 February, colleagues from Asda in Hayle and in Penryn rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in to give the centre a new lease of life, painting and helping with the upkeep of the garden.
Asda Hayle’s community life champion, Jenna Fentham, said: “This is a brilliant example of everyone coming together to make something happen. There will be no airs and graces, just a tremendous team effort to support the centre which lies at the heart of our community.”
A spokesperson from the centre added: “We are truly grateful to everyone at Asda for dedicating their time and effort to the upkeep of our centre.”
