FALMOUTH Rugby Under 12s team are dancing their way to Barcelona thanks to a donation of £1,900 from Falmouth, The Misty Mountain Line Dancers.

The dancers presented the cheque to club coach Darren Becconsall with the money going towards their tour of the Spanish city which kicks off in two weeks The money will also be used to support other age groups within the mini and junior section.

Last year the Falmouth line dancers helped sponsor the boys with their match day kit. During this time Dave Addinall also a coach to the under 12s, liaised with the line dancers to see if the boys could help out throughout the year with any of their fund raising.

The Misty Mountain Line Dancers formed over 17 years ago with leader Ann Williams and husband DJ Den Williams have raised over £40,000 for local charities.

“Over the past three years they have been raising money and supporting Falmouth mini and junior rugby with their fundraising,” said Mr Addinall.

“The mini and junior section would like to say a big thank you to the line dancers for everything they do to support Falmouth Rugby Club.

“Every penny the dancers raise goes to the club and they draw nothing out for expenses.”

Over the coming year the line dancers will be seen at many organised advents throughout Cornwall, but if anyone would like the services of the line dancers to help out with fetes or an organised event call Ann or Den Williams on 01209 860607.
