A Group of friends are planning to hold their own Gallopathon event in Falmouth for Comic Relief on Friday, March 13, and are inviting others to join them on the mile “gallop.”
So far Jo Horton and about 15 of her friends will be galloping along the seafront, taking inspiration from comedian Miranda Hart’s Gallopathon on London’s Hampstead Heath next week. They are hoping, though, that other fun-runners will join them on the night.
“We are going to meet at Gyllyngvase car park and gallop half a mile along the seafront and then half a mile back,” said Jo. “We’d like others to join us and they can dress however they like.”
The one mile gallop will start at 6pm and it is being suggested that adult participants make a donation of £1 while children give 50 pence, although they are of course welcome to give more. Anyone wanting to take part should gather at the |car park at about 5.50pm.
