Falmouth mayor’s police cadet, Sam Passmore, had the honour of raising the Commonwealth Flag above the town’s Municipal Buildings last week.
Falmouth Town Council and Penryn Town Council held short ceremonies to mark Commonwealth Day and flags were hoisted in both towns.
Falmouth’s mayor, John Body, had invited his chaplain, Father Mark Mesley to lead the short service which saw Cdr Stuart Finn from RNAS Culdrose read a message from His Excellency Kamalesh Sharma, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth.
