UPDATE: A man in his 50's is in a serious condition after suffering head injuries in a quad bike crash.
Police appealing for witnesses following the incident on the B3314 near Pendoggett.
The man was discovered at around 6.30pm on Sunday by member of the public after the red Honda quad bike was seen lying on its side on the road.
Its rider, a local man in his late fifties, was found lying on the road surface having suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Derriford hospital by air ambulance.
If you witnessed the incident or saw a red Honda quad bike being ridden prior to the accident, please contact the police on 101 quoting log 681 of the 22nd March.
