A man has been injured in fall into a fish room on a boat at Newlyn.

Five firefighters from Penzance along with the Penlee Lifeboat crew attended a request from ambulance to help with the recovery of a male casualty who had fallen from a height.

A spokesman said: "Due to the location of the casualty and his injuries firefighters assisted with immobilising the casualty on a stretcher, once secure line rescue equipment was used to raise the casualty using the assistance of the Lifeboat crew.

"Once clear of the fish room the casualty was left in the care of ambulance paramedics whilst crews made their equipment up."
