TWO people had to be rescued from their first floor flat early this morning after a fire took hold in a building in Trelowarren Street, Camborne.
Two appliances from Tolvaddon Community Fire Station were called to the blaze at around 4.30am.
Thanks to a working smoke alarm and to the swift actions of the fire service two occupants were successfully rescued from the first floor flat and were transferred to the care of the ambulance service.
Personnel used breathing apparatus to check adjoining premises to the property. A hose reel jet was also used.
