A man has died following a crash in Carbis Bay near St Ives on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the single vehicle collision involving on St Ives Road at around 4.25pm.
A man in his 50’s who was the driver of the blue BMW involved in the crash was flown by helicopter to Treliske hospital, where he died of his injuries. Two other occupants of the car were not seriously hurt.
St Ives Road was closed whilst serious collision investigators examined the scene and was reopened at 10.40pm.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, and ask anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the vehicle travelling along the B3074 prior to the collision to contact them on 101 or 101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk quoting police reference 0510 060815.
