Mawnan Bowling Club recently hosted a coffee morning in aid of Cornwall Blood Bikes which £45 for the lifesaving charity.
Mark Holroyd, one of a team of 60 Blood Bike riders covering Cornwall, joined the coffee morning in the bowls' clubhouse and gave a short talk about the organisation and the service they provide for the community.
Cornwall Blood Bikes are a group of self-funding volunteers operating as a registered charity providing free "out of hours" service delivering and collecting blood and pathology samples for NHS partners throughout the county.
The Bowling Club plans to hold regular coffee mornings throughout the year to support the charity. More information about it can be found at cornwallbloodbikes.org.
