Two gorse fires broke out within hours of each other in Mullion yesterday.
Firefighters from Mullion, St Keverne and Helston were first called out just before 3.30pm to a large fire involving approximately ten hectares of gorse.
They used beaters and a hosereel to put out the fire, over a number of hours.
However, just after 8.30pm two crews from Mullion were back, this time to a two-hectare area of gorse near Mullion Holiday Park.
This time beaters were enough to put out the flames.
