At the last monthly meeting of the Penryn branch of the Royal British Legion, Jim Henderson from the Rotary Club of Penryn handed over a donation of £200 to go to helping the legions' plans to take Normandy veterans to the sites of the D Day landings.
Both clubs have said that the costs of this operation is increasing as veterans are getting fewer and need more carers to assist them.
