Falmouth RNLI rescued two people on Wednesday after their yacht lost steering when its propeller was fouled by a lobster pot three miles off Zone Point.
The coastguard called for the all weather lifeboat to be launched at around 3.45pm to help the eight metre yacht Mary Ann J, which was making limited headway back towards the harbour in the prevailing conditions.
The lifeboat reached the yacht at around 4.15pm, taking attaching a tow line and taking it in tow up the Carrick Roads towards the Mylor Fairway Buoys where the tow was handed over to the Mylor Harbour Launch.
An RNLI spokesperson said: "The yacht had been on passage to Mylor when its propeller was believed to have become fouled by a lobster pot line.
"The skipper and crewmember were very appreciative for the assistance they were given."
