Visitor were going loony for cartoons at Falmouth Art Gallery this week with a master class from a Beano illustrator.
Families enjoyed a nauti-but-nice afternoon learning how to draw Captain Pugwash, the subject of one of the gallery's exhibitions, with help from artist Nick Brennan.
The group started by looking at simple cartoon techniques, such as how to draw different facial expressions, before Nick ran them through a step by step method for drawing the popular pirate, looking at each element of his design.
Nick said: "It's a drop-in type thing, I'm giving some general cartoon tips but also drawing Captain Pugwash.
"I'm hoping they will be able to draw him however they like, rather than copy pictures that already exist.
"There are lots of lovely pictures around, so hopefully everyone has learned something."
