Ryanair has launched its Cornwall Airport Newquay summer 2017 schedule, with a new route to Faro and two others to Alicante and Frankfurt Hahn, which it claims will bring 57,000 visitors to the county.
The new twice weekly route to Faro in Portugal will deliver passengers to the gateway to the Algarve and will complement the twice weekly services to Spain and Gemany.
Ryanair’s head of communications, Robin Kiely, said: “We are pleased to launch our Newquay Cornwall summer 2017 schedule. Customers can look forward to even lower fares when they make advance bookings for summer 2017.
"As our recent guidance confirmed, Ryanair expects average fares to fall by between ten to 12 per cent in the six months to March 2017. There’s never been a better time to book a low fare flight on Ryanair. Seats on our new route to Faro are on sale now from just £24.99, which are available for booking until Monday (September 26)."
Cornwall Airport Newquay’s managing director, Al Titterington, said: “We’re delighted that Ryanair are growing their operation from Cornwall with the introduction of a third route to Faro in 2017 illustrating the strong demand for sun destinations from Cornwall and the South West.
"Our positive relationship with Ryanair is blossoming and their commitment to grow services from the region after only one year of operation is particularly pleasing. The new connection direct to the Algarve should prove very popular with families, golfers and surfers and offers a great new option for those wishing to start their holiday from their local airport.”
