The Falmouth fundraising group for Cornwall Hospice Care held their annual ladies' day at the Falmouth Hotel on Thursday.
The presenter during the morning was Nikki Cheatham who talked about her years working behind the scenes in television. She was involved as producer in many programmes including Crimewatch. She told of incidents with well known people and used film for everyone to see what was involved in making a television programme.
In the afternoon there was a demonstration of floral art by Caroline Crabb from Bodmin. She did five beautiful displays with a festive theme and these were added to the raffle table.
"The whole day was very successful - we had 120 guests and raised the magnificent total of £1,726.83 in aid of Cornwall Hospice Care," said Christine Morris.
The group's next event is a Christmas Concert at St Mary's Church in Falmouth on Thursday, December 8, at 7pm with Eight in a Bar. Entrance is free but there will be a retiring collection.
