St Ives September Festival will be holding a photography competition for the first time this year.
Photographers will be able to compete for prizes awarded for the images which best capture the atmosphere and spirit of the 2017 festival, which runs from September 9 to 23.
The competition is a follow-up to last year's successful poetry competition. Festival chairman Mary English said: "Each year we aim to encourage the participation of the Festival attendees. This year's festival photo completion is for anyone who would like to share their pictorial thoughts of the true spirit of the St Ives September Festival."
There will be three categories: adults, under 12s and under 18s. Full competition details and rules appear in the official St Ives September Festival programme, out now.
Pictures can be of anything festival-related, apart from any taken at indoor concerts as the organisers do not want the enjoyment of ticket-holders affected by distractions. For further Festival information see stivesseptemberfestival.co.uk.
