Residents of Perranarworthal parish are invited to a public meeting on Saturday, December 9, to discuss the potential benefits of a neighbourhood plan for their community and to quiz experts on the neighbourhood plan process.

The meeting will take place from 10.30am at Perranwell Station Village Hall and anyone who lives within the parish or runs a business there will be made welcome with mince pies, coffee and tea.

A neighbourhood plan would allow Perranarworthal residents to develop planning policies that reflect their own priorities and how local people would like to see the community develop in the future.

Once in place, the policies in the neighbourhood plan will be used to help planning officers determine whether future planning applications are approved or refused. It will mean that local views must be taken into account when planning decisions are made.

The neighbourhood plan will also help the local community to set out any projects they would like to see happen over the coming years.
