This December, Cornwall’s Miracle Theatre breathes new life into the second most famous Christmas story in the world - Charles Dickens’ heart-warming masterpiece A Christmas Carol.

Following a sell-out run of Cinderella last year, Miracle is back at Falmouth’s Princess Pavilion, with a re-telling of this timeless classic about the cold-hearted miser Scrooge and his joyous redemption, called Bah! Humbug! A Christmas Carol.

Jam-packed with unforgettable characters, laughter, music and the latest digital trickery, Miracle will propel you on a spellbinding journey through the events of Scrooge’s life as he is forced to confront his past, present and future!

Director Bill Scott said: "Dickens wanted to draw as many people’s attention as possible to the grinding poverty and inequality that existed all around him in London. So what did he do? He wrote a funny and moving story about a heartless, mean-spirited old grump who learns to love life after being haunted by ghosts!

"While the result may make us examine our conscience, it is also wonderfully entertaining: a gripping story, fabulous characters, festive singing, spooky surprises and uproarious comedy."

Performed by an accomplished and multi-skilled cast of Miracle regulars, Steve Jacobs plays Ebenezer Scrooge alongside familiar faces from Cinderella, Jason Squibb, Catherine Lake, Hannah Stephens and Giles King. They will be joined by the addition of a talented local supporting cast, bringing an extra dash of Dickensian delight to the show!

After a summer touring across the South West Miracle will once again be calling Falmouth’s Princess Pavilion home for December.

Princess Pavilion centre manager Anna Stairmand said: "We are thrilled to welcome back Miracle Theatre.

"Bah! Humbug! A Christmas Carol promises to be the must-see show this Christmas in Cornwall.”

As much a part of Christmas as wise men or mince pies, A Christmas Carol is a perennial favourite that continues to delight all ages and rekindle feelings of charity and goodwill.

Or, as Scrooge would say… “Bah! Humbug!”
