PORTHLEVEN FC A have a six point lead at the top of division one of the West Cornwall Summer Pool League after a 7-2 win over Breage SC last week.

Helston FC defeated Mullion FC 6-3 and remain second while Helston RBL E defeated their E team 7-2 and are a point behind the football club in third. Helston CC A edged out the Seven Stars 5-4 with singles wins coming from Dave Thomas, Jamie Borrett and Dave Normanshire.

The Crown Inn have a healthy nine point lead at the top of division two after a 7-2 win over Helston RBL D while wins from Brian Hosken, John Curtis, Dave Gilbert, Tim Bryant and Ed Hosken helped Helston RC to a 6-3 win over the Queens Arms. Porthleven FC B defeated Helston RBL C 6-3.

Division III is pretty tight at the moment with only eight points separating six teams. White Hart B defeated Praa Sands GC 5-4 with wins coming from Ray Jackson, Craig Pound, Kelvin Retallack and Phil James.

The Lion & Lamb had a narrow 5-4 win over the Seven Stars while Helston CC A had a narrow 7-2 win over Helston RBL and The Rodney got back into touch with the main pack with a 9-0 whitewash against the Red Lion.
