While a lot of the country struggles under a blanket of snow, Patricia Buswell from Porthleven has posted on Facebook some pictures of the time in 1988 when the whole of The Lizard was carpeted in the white stuff.
These pictures, taken in Porthleven, reminded people of the time when villages on the peninsula and in the wider county, were cut off for days and RNAS Culdrose was closed because nobody could get int o the base.
Come the thaw everybody's pipes burst because nobody had lagged them as it never snows on The Lizard
