Kaiser Chief's frontman, and part-time Falmouth resident, Ricky Wilson paid a surprise visit to the see the donkeys at the Flicka Foundation's sanctuary in Mabe yesterday.

Keen to spread the work, post on Flicka's Facebook page said: "What started off as a very dull, dreary wet Thursday, turned into an exciting uplifting Thursday!

"We were thrilled to bits when Ricky Wilson from Kaiser Chiefs called in with his partner Grace and their beautiful dog Rebus. What a super surprise, we were all a bit star struck."

Ricky and Grace visited all the donkeys who call the sanctuary their home, dropped into the tea room for some refreshments and then posed for some photographs with Paddington and Penny.

"We’ve been promised another visit," said Flicka. "We did make noises as to how good a Kaiser Chiefs ‘gig’ would be in the donkey barn.

"What a lovely man ......thank you Ricky, Grace and Rebus for visiting us at Flicka."
