The former Provincial Grand Primo for the West Cornwall RAOB Club, who comes from Falmouth, has handed over a cheque for £2,112.25 to the charity Ella's Memory.
Peter Pressley, held the title in 2017, said: "One of my jobs was to start an appeal for a charity of my choice. I chose Ella’s Memory, a charity that supports people who lose a child in child birth or has a premature birth. Losing a baby is very hard on all concerned and this charity helps out in amazing ways."
Peter, a member of the Sir Lionel Jacobs Lodge which meets at the Boslowick Inn on Tuesday nights, raised the money through a raffle, selling badges, a collection at ASDA and a sale in the United Reform Church. He also had collecting tins in the Strand Cafe and at Betfred in Market Strand.
A cheque for the amount was presented to Martin Selley, of Carnon Downs, who set up Ella’s Memory with his wife Emillie, after they their daughter was stillborn in 2009.
