The Friends of Tregoniggie Woodland in Falmouth have celebrated the completion of the newly upgraded extension to the lower footpath and the removal of the steps at the Holly Arches.
The work had been was carried out by Cormac and was paid for by a grant from the Local Postcode Lottery and a compensation payment from South West Water.
Members of the group, who work together to restore and develop the woodland, along with some of the people who enjoy the area, gathered recently to mark the completion of the work. After the official opening of the upgraded footpath, there was coffee and cake.
Euan McPhee, chairman of the Friends, described the event as "another milestone in our ongoing work in this wonderful woodland."
