A vehicle ended up "submerged" in a river early this morning following an incident near Redruth.
The fire and rescue service were called by police just before 6am, asking for their help at Comford.
A fire spokesperson said: "The Critical Control Centre received a call from Devon and Cornwall Police at 05:59 this morning, requesting our attendance to a vehicle submerged in a river."
Firefighters from Falmouth and Tolvaddon were first to arrive on scene, where a vehicle was found on its side in shallow water. No one was inside the vehicle and it is not clear at this point how it ended up in the river.
Crews removed the vehicle from the water and used a thermal imaging camera to search the surrounding area.
