A KAYAKER came to the aid of two people, one of whom had been injured, who'd been cut off by the tide at Porthkerris.
The emergency services were called the scene near St Keverne and, on arrival, the Porthoustock and Mullion coastguard rescue teams could see the casualties and the kayaker on the beach.
The kayaker was known to some of the team so they managed to make contact via mobile and get an update. The injuries were not found to be too severe and, with limited team numbers. the Falmouth inshore lifeboat was recalled.
The lifeboat transferred the casualties to the beach where they were met by team members who handed over to the ambulance crew.
The Porthoustock team thanked Mullion and Falmouth ILB for their assistance and to the members of public for taking the time out of their day to help others and the emergency services on scene.
