PORT Navas' annual Regatta will take place this Saturday at 4pm at Port Navas Yacht Club.
The Regatta is a wonderful, highly popular family event with races and competitions on and off the water.
Each year the event raises thousands of pounds for charities such as Air Ambulance, Cornwall Hospice Care and the RNLI.
The water events include rowing, mixed age and fun races and swimming, with boats provided if necessary. There will be children’s races in the field, free face painting and a fancy dress competition with this year’s theme being Disney.
A BBQ, food court and beer tent provide a wide variety of delicious food and drink, while the Constantine Silver Band will play and the RNLI will do a display.
Fairground type stalls along the Quay will provide more fun with plenty of prizes for everyone of all ages. The Tombola – always a highlight – Whack the Rat and a fun golf game are amongst the attractions.
Free parking is provided in a nearby field.
