A MUM who failed to ensure her child went regularly to school has been fined £120 and ordered to pay £400 costs by Truro magistrates.
Lynda Hunt, 41, of Meadowbank Road, Falmouth pleaded not guilty to failing to send her child to Falmouth School on a regular basis between September 5, 2017 and February 2, 2018 but was found guilty in her absence. The prosecution at Truro Magistrates' Court was bought by Cornwall Council. As well as the fine she was also ordered to pay a £30 surcharge to fund victim services.
