This year’s Sticker Country Fair and Vintage Rally attracted over 2000 visitors, raising over £13,000 for charity.

The main benefitting charity was the Merlin MS Centre at Hewas Water which provides therapy and support for those who are living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

Sarah Snell, Income Generation Manager for Merlin MS Centre collected a cheque for £8,200 at the presentation evening held on August 1

Sarah said: “We are once again very grateful for the hard work and dedication from all those involved in making this such a successful event and of course for choosing to support our wonderful charity.”

Sticker Village Association and St Mewan Nursery School also received cheques for £2000 each.

The weekend was packed from Friday night through to Sunday afternoon with Stalls, activities, vintage vehicles, music and entertainment.

The evening entertainment kicked off on the Friday night with The Belfast Busker and The Jaguars. Followed on Saturday night by one of Cornwall’s finest talents Johnny Cowling, supported by the Falmouth Soul Sensations.

Family entertainment on the Saturday and Sunday included a raptor and reptile show, fairground and inflatable rides, fun dog show, band, musicians and lots more. In the main marquee there were stalls, with a range of beautiful ceramics, woodwork, jewellery, and other crafts.

The timeless beauty of steam engines, vintage vehicles, and fairground organs rolled into the adjoining fields and grounds of Sticker AFC Grounds, with displays and parades on both days.

Plans are already a foot for the 2019 event which will take place on July 19, 20th and 21st 2019.

The Merlin MS Centre is an independent charity located in mid-Cornwall. Its charitable aim is to provide subsidised therapy for people who are affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
