Posters advertising a church fete around Flushing have mysteriously disappeared.
An £80 banner advertising the St Peter's Church Fete has also gone missing without a trace.
Irene Gardiner, one of the organisers, said: "We just can't understand why anybody would do it. The fete was running in 1993 when I moved here and it's been going for years and years before that.
"We can't understand why anybody would be so vindictive, it's very very heartbreaking for us."
Irene and other members of the church have been praying for whoever took down the posters.
She mentioned that there was no evidence of vandalism, and said that members of the church have been looking in nearby hedgerows but have yet to come across any sign of the missing posters.
The large £80 banner which went missing was hung on the white wall on the turning where Tregew Road meets the junction to St Gluvius, and another notice was placed at the entrance to the Trefusis Estate in Tregew Road.
If anyone has any information about the missing posters they can contact Helen Syrett, the fete organiser, on 01326 374346.
