A cyclist was knocked from his bike in a hit and run during the early hours of this morning.
It took place on the main Helston to Porthleven road, at Penrose Hill, just after 1am.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the driver of a car fled the scene, but was later found and arrested.
She added that the cyclist’s injuries were not thought to be life threatening or life changing.
Local eyewitnesses have described seeing six police cars and an ambulance at the scene.
There is no footpath or lighting on that section of road, which has a 40mph speed limit.
