Children’s Hospice South West Falmouth Friends Group will be hosting 'The Oscars Party' Murder Mystery Dinner on Friday, October 12.

It takes place at The Penmorvah Manor Hotel at Budock Water to help raise vital funds for CHSW.

The event provides the perfect opportunity to dress up for a fun night of fundraising and enjoy dinner while actors perform around diners.

There will be genuine clues and red herrings and guests can interact with the actors between courses.

At the end of dinner guests will be invited to view the murder scene and decide exactly who the killer is.

Actor Chris Batters said: "I am delighted to be invited back, together with my 'Murder by Appointment' theatre company, to be part of another fundraising evening on behalf of Children's Hospice South West.

"We appreciate the wonderful work associated with the Hospice and we look forward to contributing towards another successful evening."

Mary Murfin, from the CHSW Falmouth Friends Group, said: ‘We hope that as many people as possible will join us to help make the event a great success.

"As CHSW is the only charity in the South West providing specialist care and respite support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families, we’re really pleased to give our time to Children’s Hospice South West fundraising and help in its mission to make the most of short and precious lives."

CHSW’s Little Harbour children’s hospice in St Austell costs around £3 million a year to run which is raised almost entirely by voluntary donations.

Little Harbour provides essential care and support to children and their families through respite, short breaks, a dedicated sibling service, end of life care and bereavement support. The hospice is currently supporting 120 children and families as well as more than 30 bereaved families.

Tickets for the evening are £32.50 per person, which includes dinner and all entertainment.

These are available to buy by calling Mary on 07790 986105 or Penmorvah Manor Hotel 01326 250277.
