Three Falmouth establishments and three from Porthleven have been shortlisted for the Trencherman's Awards 2019.

The awards, organised by the South West foodie's guide to dining, recognise excellence in the field from local establishments.

Oliver's in Falmouth is up for Best Trencherman's Restaurant, going head to head with the likes of Boringdon Hall in Plymouth and The Castle in Taunton.

Falmouth's Star & Garter is a contender for Best Dining Pub alongside The Mariners in Rock and The Springer Spaniel in Launceston amongst others. Last but not least from Falmouth is The Greenbank Hotel which has been shortlisted for the Best Bar List award. It will have to beat out competition from, to name a few, Bustopher Jones in Truro, The Mariners in Rock and Koj in Cheltenham.

Porthleven once again proves that it packs a culinary punch belying the town's size, with three establishments being shortlisted.

Amelies, Kota and The Square have all been shortlisted for the Best Front of House Team award against competition from Soar Mill Cove in Salcombe and Glazebrook House in South Brent.

Jude Kereama from Kota is also up for the Best Trencherman's Chef along with Adam Fellows of Goodfellows in Somerset and Donna Berry of The Swan in Devon and more.
