Police are searching for two people who ran off after they abandoned a car near Asda in Penryn at lunchtime.

Officers launched a search, by the Asda store at Penryn, just after 1pm after the Renault Clio was left in the middle of a busy roundabout.

Falmouth Police said: “Dogs are assisting us in the search for the two occupants of this vehicle.

“They abandoned the vehicle in the middle of the ASDA roundabout, A39 and fled on foot into nearby fields.

Police say the car, a Renault Clio, has no insurance or MOT certificate.

Anyone who can assist police with the manhunt is urged to call 101, quoting log 0384 of 23rd September 2018.
