AN APPLICATION for 14 self-catering units near Narberth and Whitland have been conditionally approved.
A mix of two and three-bedroom bungalows have been given the thumbs-up by Pembrokeshire County Council, despite strong objection by a Lampeter Velfrey community council.
The site sits on the junction between Ludchurch and Tavernspite.
The cottages will be a mix of wood-clad and coloured render, and sit in a landscaped area with 'meandering footpaths'
Supporting documents say the development will "retain its countryside aesthetic in an open plan grassland setting planted with indigenous trees and shrubs to provide individual screening and privacy".
Lampeter Velfrey council said it had received a number of objections from local residents.
The site has previously been subject to a previous application for 13 'transportable' holiday units together with reception and community shop, but this was later withdrawn.
