The Mullion Cove Hotel has received the AA’s supreme accolade with an AA Inspectors' Choice 3 red star award, which recognises the highest performing hotels in Britain and Ireland, regardless of size or style.

For a hotel to be awarded red stars means that it has been selected by the AA as one of the very best hotels in the British Isles, offering excellent levels of quality and outstanding hospitality and service.

The award was announced at The AA Hospitality Award ceremony on Monday, hosted by Strictly Come Dancing presenter Claudia Winkleman at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, with 1,000 industry guests in attendance.

Says Daniel Thompson MIH, General Manager of the Mullion Cove Hotel, said: “We have been lucky enough to receive a number of prestigious awards over the past few years, but this is truly the most enormous accolade, as it really does place the hotel amongst the crème de la crème across the UK.

"It is a huge testament to everyone on the team and we couldn’t be more proud."

The Mullion Cove Hotel is located in the South Cornwall Coast, perched high on a clifftop overlooking the Lizard coastline.

As well as scenic views from almost every spacious and stylish room, this dog-friendly hotel is home to one of the best restaurants in Cornwall where Chef Paul Stephens has won two AA rosette awards for food excellence since Daniel Thompson took over as general manager in 2015.

A double room at the Mullion Cove Hotel costs from £160 based on two sharing a Sea View Room on bed and breakfast basis.
