A man was rescued from the water after a night of drinking in Falmouth.
Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team attended North Quay after a report of a person in the water came in at 10.39pm yesterday evening (September 26).
Police had pulled the man from the water by the time the coastguard team arrived. The team then kept the man warm and provided casualty care before he was taken to West Cornwall Hospital by police.
The Falmouth Inshore Lifeboat was also tasked to assist.
The coastguard team issued a warning about the risks of falling into cold water.
They said: "The water at this time of year is really starting to cool down. Mixed with alcohol and the time of night, this incident could very easily have been fatal. Please #dontdrinkanddrown."
