COMMUNITY organisations are being given cash for schemes to tackle anti-social behaviour across Devon and Cornwall.

The 27 projects will share an £80,000 fund set up by the region’s Police and Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez. A similar amount has been set aside  for next year.

The PPC asked for schemes to tackle anti-social behaviour in public places and offered funding between £250 and £2,500.

More than 50 ideas were put forward and were studied by a panel which chose the ones to get the funds.

Funds were due to be released in September and staff from the PCC’s office will work with the schemes as they go live.
