THE family of a Falmouth man who died after a crash have paid tribute to a "beautiful, caring and loving soul".
Ross Chambers lost his life two days after being involved in a collision between his Mazda MX5 and a lorry on the A393 at Comford, near Lanner.
Police were called to the scene at 2.40pm on Friday.
Ross, 32, was airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro with life-threatening injuries, before being transferred to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
Police were later notified that he passed away in hospital on Sunday, September 30.
His next of kin are being supported by family liaison officers.
In a statement issued this morning, Ross' family said: “On Sunday afternoon, September 30, 2018, our son passed away, a couple of days after he was involved in a tragic car accident.
"He was a beautiful, caring and loving soul, we miss him so badly.
“With him went a part of our heart, we love you so much Ross, the pain of losing you is unbearable.
“Love forever more, mum, dad, brother, sister, son, partner, all your family and many friends... X”
