At least one person is reported to have suffered potentially life threatening injuries in a serious crash near Breage this afternoon.
The driver of one of the vehicles in the two-vehicle collision has been airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro by air ambulance.
Two other people have also been hurt in the crash that took place between Breage and Sithney, with at least one person having to be cut from the wreckage by firefighters.
Police say a woman has sustained possibly serious injuries and has also been taken to the Treliske hospital, in an ambulance, while a man received minor injuries.
A force spokesperson said "extensive localised closures" are in place as a result. The A394 is closed in both ways between Shute Hill and Gipsy Lane. As a result traffic will not be able to use the B3304 between Porthleven and Breage.
Traffic is building in both directions, with motorists urged to avoid that area if possible and use an alternative route.
