The Plume of Feathers in Scorrier has a new lease of life following a £168k investment.

The pub, which is owned by Punch and run by Marcus Williams and Lindsay Dark, has undergone substantial redevelopment to the trading area and now boasts a new look and fresh décor which is certain to appeal to all visitors.

New publicans Marcus and Lindsay have been looking for a pub in Cornwall for some time now and when they first saw ‘The Plume’, they fell in love with it immediately.

Since seizing the opportunity to move their family to Redruth they have been made to feel very welcome by everyone in the community.

The pub reopened over the weekend and will relaunch fully on Saturday (Oct 13).

As well as fresh new traditional interior design the pub will launch with a brand new, tantalising menu, with all the dishes being homecooked by Lindsay using the fantastic local produce as much as possible.

The menu boasts all the pub classics including Lindsay’s homemade lasagne which is quite the crowd pleaser.

Marcus and Lindsay plan to host key events throughout the year with theme nights and regular quizzes already on the agenda. More importantly they want the pub to once again become an integral part of the community it serves.

“We want to thank all of the customers who have made us welcome and have supported us so far. Working with Punch we believe we have created a great environment for customers new and old to enjoy and we are very much looking forward to opening the doors.

“We have had great support from Punch Taverns in re-launching the pub and we are excited for our future at The Plume.’’

Punch Development Manager, Gavin Hogg adds: “We’re delighted to invest in sites such as this.

“Marcus and Lindsay have some great plans to deliver a fantastic customer experience and they have our full support. I look forward to working in partnership with them both as we bring this fantastic pub back to the heart of the community.”
