FALMOUTH Oyster Festival has called off today's events because of the weather.
Strong winds continue to blow across the area as Storm Callum sweeps through.
Earlier today the organisers of the event had to cancel the children's procession, planned for this afternoon, and now the day as a whole has been shelved.
Organisers cited safety concerns, with the main part of the event to be held in a marquee at Events Square.
UPDATE: The Falmouth Oyster Festival has had to be cancelled for today. Due to the strong winds, it is simply not safe to be in the marquee on Events Square. Fingers crossed everything will be up and running for some shucking tomorrow! #LoveFalmouth pic.twitter.com/iM5jsmBfcq
