Developers hope to build 16 new bungalows in Mylor Bridge.

If plans go ahead, the new development will be situated on the north west edge of the village on the land off Cogos Avenue.

At the time of writing, the planning application had 16 comments from the public with 13 objecting and one in support.

A statement from Clifton Emery Design on behalf of developers Blue Cedars Homes Ltd said: "The proposed new homes have been designed to appeal to people at or nearing retirement age, benefitting from communal managed gardens at the centre of the scheme.

"The homes will predominantly be 2 bedroomed and, internally and externally, they are designed with adaptability in mind, including level thresholds, generous internal circulation spaces and, being bungalows, are designed on a single floor plate."

The plans also include details of a communal garden area in the middle of the bungalows, an 'ecology area' and an area of public open space to the east of the houses.

Clifton Emery Design's statement also said that the homes will be affordable, and that they will be constructed using "high quality local materials".

A separate statement written by Jack Clarke-Williams from transport planners Vectos said that deliveries to the site will be made outside peak hours to reduce the impact on traffic in the area.
