All lanes have now been reopened on the A30 near Hayle following an earlier three-vehicle crash.
However, there remain long delays in the area due to the backlog of vehicles.
One car overturned in the collision, which took place between the Loggans Moor roundabout at Ventonleague and the A3074 at Nut Lane, the St Erth roundabout.
Police closed the road to help emergency services work at the scene.
Officers have since released a statement about the crash here.
Firefighters from Tolvaddon were among those called to the crash scene.
A spokesperson said that no one was trapped by the crash and that ambulance crews had attended along with police.
