Two men have been arrested after incidents at the police cordon in Truro where a man has been throwing tiles off a roof for more than 24 hours.
One 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and breaching the peace.
The other, a 48-year-old, was arrested on suspicion of obstruction or resisting a police officer.
Both of the men remain in custody.
Police negotiators were called to George Street at around 11am yesterday after the man climbed onto a roof and started throwing tiles.
He was is said to have caused "substantial damage" to the roof by pulling tiles off and throwing them down.
More than a dozen officers have been involved in the incident which has entered a second day, with the man alternating between roofs, still dressed in luminous cycling clothes and a bike helmet.
